Alloy Powder Range

Wall Colmonoy’s nickel base alloys are available as nickel powder and nickel rods. Nickel base alloys are resistant to wear and corrosion and possess good high temperature properties.  Our high quality nickel base powder, wire, rod and electrodes are available in a full range of sizes and specifications.


Colmonoy ® – Nickel Alloys; Powder and Rods

The Colmonoy family of nickel powder and nickel rods exhibit good corrosion properties and are resistant to abrasion and wear, retaining their hardness up to 600ºC (1000ºF) with significant resistance to oxidation.




Wallex ® - Cobalt Alloys; Powder and Rod

Wall Colmonoy’s cobalt base alloys are available as cobalt rods and cobalt powder.  Cobalt alloys are used primarily for wear applications; our cobalt alloys can be applied by any known fusion welding process or HVOF spraying process and are particularly well-suited for hard facing applications.  Cobalt alloys are the most widely used wear resistant hard facing materials available.

The world’s most well-known family of wear resistant alloys can be classified into three major groups:

  • Traditional Co-Cr-W-C Alloys
  • Mo-Ni-Fe modifications of the traditional group
  • B-Si modifications

These cobalt alloys exhibit excellent wear, galling, corrosion and erosion resistance. At high temperatures they retain these properties, while showing a high degree of hardness.




Colferoloy ® – Iron Alloys; Powder and Rod

Colferoloy is an important new addition to Wall Colmonoy’s wear solution products range. Colferoloy satisfies a demand for more affordable hard-surfacing products as this range of iron-chromium alloys provides excellent combined wear and corrosion resistance.

These alloys may be applied by PTA and HVOF welding. The Colferoloy alloys are formulated to meet a wide range of applications.





Bespoke Alloys

Many customers have applications which require specific alloys in order to achieve the required coating properties. Through an experienced Technical team and a versatile manufacturing facility Wall Colmonoy is able to meet specific customer requirements.

Powders can be Gas or Water atomised and produced to specific alloy formulations.
