This casting process is used for alloys where tight compositional control and low inclusion counts are required which are difficult to achieve when using conventional air melting and casting. Investment moulds are manufactured in the traditional way and then cast under vacuum. Typical applications include components used in the Aerospace Industry

The maximum weight of component is 8 kg.
